Glove Guardian catches on with Brantly
JUPITER, Fla. — John Buck may no longer be the Marlins’ catcher, but his influence remains.
Marlins catcher Rob Brantly stores his gloves in a specialized cylinder designed and created by Buck, who is now with the Mariners.
The case is called the Glove Guardian, which sells online for $64 on toigear.com.
Brantly packs two gloves into the durable case that is light weight, and keeps his gloves in good condition.
Buck came up with the idea for a special catcher’s case in Spring Training in 2010.
If a catcher doesn’t have the case, Brantly said: “They should.”
