Preparing Marlins Park for series finale
MIAMI — Shortly before 9 a.m. ET on Sunday, the roof at Marlins Park closed.
The roof regularly is opened at night, and the field is covered by a tarp.
The grounds crew was busy getting the field ready for Sunday’s 1:10 p.m. ET series finale between the Marlins and Blue Jays.
Marlins Park’s roof remains open as much as possible to help grow the grass.
Here are a couple of images of the field and the roof closing.
