Ramirez returns to lineup
ST. PETERSBURG — Hanley Ramirez, who sat out on Friday night after being struck on the nose by a deflected ball, was back in the lineup on Saturday night.
The Marlins, losers of nine of 10, are looking for some offense. On Friday night, they were limited to one hit, a first-inning single by Donovan Solano.
Ramirez was initially set to play on Friday, but during batting practice in the cages, he was shaken up. Ramirez hit a ball that deflected off a screen. It deflected back and plunked the third baseman in the nose.
The Marlins send Anibal Sanchez to the mound on Saturday, while the Rays are going with James Shields.
