Marlins off to best May start ever
After shutting out the Astros on Monday night, the Marlins extended their winning streak to seven games. They’re also 7-0 in May, marking their best start in May in club history.
Three times they’ve started off 5-2 in May, with the most recent being 2008.
The 2008 Marlins finished May with a 16-11 record, which tied for the most May wins in Club history. It also occurred in 1996 and ’97.
The team record for most wins in any month is 19 (August 1997).
