Rosario, Hatcher get called up
SAN DIEGO — The Marlins have added two relievers to help get through the rest of the series at San Diego.
Right-handers Sandy Rosario and Chris Hatcher were recalled from Triple-A New Orleans. To make roster space, outfielder Bryan Petersen and lefty reliever Dan Jennings were optioned to New Orleans.
Miami’s ‘pen is short after heavy use this week. Friday night’s 9-8 win over the Padres lasted a season-long 12 innings.
Both Hatcher and Rosario have big league experience.
Steve Cishek threw three innings on Friday and he will not be available the rest of the series.
