Dobbs has slight hamstring tear
The Marlins will be without Greg Dobbs for at least a week.
An MRI taken on Tuesday revealed a partial tear in Dobbs’ left hamstring.
Manaer Ozzie Guillen told reporters before the Marlins faced the Rays in Port Charlotte that Dobbs will miss at least a week.
“We’re making sure, he could’ve played a little bit, but he’s not going to play the way he should be playing,” Guillen said Wednesday morning. “So we’re going to shut it off for a couple days, maybe more than a week.”
Dobbs is a valuable left-handed bat off the bench, as well as an option at third and first base.
