LoMo back in lineup as DH

JUPITER, Fla. — For the first time in a week, Logan Morrison is back in action.

The Marlins left fielder is scheduled to be the designated hitter on Tuesday against the Braves at Roger Dean Stadium. It’s Morrison’s first Grapefruit League game.

Morrison last played on March 6 against the University of Miami at Marlins Park. After that game, he experienced some soreness on his right knee. It’s the same knee that he had scoped in early December.

In recent days, Morrison shagged fly balls in the outfield during batting practice. He won’t be traveling to Port Charlotte on Wednesday, but he hopes to be in the lineup on Thursday against the Mets.

Morrison is confident he will be ready for Opening Day.

Carlos Zambrano is pitching for the Marlins on Tuesday.
