Rain changes Marlins’ scrimmage
JUPITER, Fla. — A heavy downpour on Sunday morning caused the Marlins to alter their intrasquad scrimmage plans.
Instead of being on Field 2 at 11 a.m., the three-inning workout was moved onto the big field at Roger Dean Stadium. Due to preparation for an autograph session, the scrimmage is not open to the public.
Carlos Zambrano and Ricky Nolasco will be the starting pitchers. Catchers John Buck and Brett Hayes were given the day off.
