Anibal resting minor sore shoulder

JUPITER, Fla. — Anibal Sanchez felt a little tightness behind his right shoulder after throwing his bullpen session on Friday.

The right-hander isn’t too worried, but he is now tentatively set to make his first Grapefruit League start on March 9 against the Nationals.

“If something is sore, I don’t want it to get worse,” Sanchez said.

As a precaution, Sanchez has been scratched from throwing in an intrasquad scrimmage on Sunday on Field 2 at Roger Dean Stadium.

The Marlins have set their early spring rotation.

Carlos Zambrano will pitch in Sunday’s scrimmage, which may last about three innings.

Josh Johnson will start in the Grapefruit League opener against the Cardinals. Mark Buehrle will throw against the University of Miami on Tuesday at Marlins Park. Against the Tigers on Tuesday in Jupiter, Alex Sanabia will start.

Ricky Nolasco will face Florida Internatioanal on Wednesday at Marlins Park. Sean West will take the mound against the Mets in the afternoon that day.

Zambrano will start on Thursday at the Mets in Port St. Lucie.
