LoMo making progress
ST. LOUIS — As the Marlins take on the Cardinals at Busch Stadium, Logan Morrison continues his recovery process from a strained left arch back in South Florida.
Morrison is working out at the Roger Dean Stadium complex in Jupiter. The other day he was re-examined by doctors, who have cleared him to do more baseball activities.
In the past couple of days, Morrison has taken swings in the batting cages, and he’s done some light running. On Wednesday, he is expected to take batting practice on the field.
The Marlins return home to face the Nationals on Friday, and Morrison is scheduled to do pregame workouts with the team.
Before being reinstated off the disabled list, Morrison will play in some rehab assignment games, which could begin early next week.
