Stanton not in lineup
MIAMI — Mike Stanton, who felt tightness in his left hamstring on Friday, is not in the starting lineup for the Marlins on Saturday.
Emilio Bonifacio is making the start in place of Stanton, who exited after five innings on Opening Night.
With the Marlins off on Monday, chances are likely that Stanton will also not start on Sunday in the series finale with the Mets. That way the right fielder can get a couple of extra days of rest, and likely be back on Tuesday against the Nationals.
The Marlins are sending Ricky Nolasco to the mound, while New York is countering with lefty Jon Niese.
