Marlins Opening Night Lineup

MIAMI — For the third time in the last four years, the Marlins will open against the Mets. This is the first time the organization will be opening at night, with their 7:10 p.m. start at Sun Life Stadium.

Johnson will be making is second straight start in the opener.

Dontrelle Willis is the last Marlin to start in successive openers when he took the mound first in 2006 and 2007. Josh Beckett is the only Florida pitcher with more than two Opening Day starts. From 2003-05, the hard-throwing Texan took the ball on Opening Day.

In terms of the roster, there has been a change in numbers. Reliever Randy Choate will wear No. 38, and bullpen coach Reid Cornelius will be No. 49.
