Teal Monster scoreboard gone
A name change won’t be the only thing new at home Marlins games this year.
Sun Life Stadium, the seventh different name of the ballpark, also has a change on the left field wall. The “Teal Monster” no longer sports the scoreboards for both leagues. Fans have grown accustomed to seeing the complete scores on the wall.
The Miami Dolphins, owners of the stadium, didn’t want to pay for repairs to the scoreboard. So now the tall wall — or Teal Monster — has giant advertisements for the MLB Network.

Previously, all the scores were right there for players and coaches to see from the dugout. Now the scores flash on the ring that loops around the club level of the park.
