Baker, Turnbow, Ross resting ailments
Some minor ailments have popped up in Marlins camp. Nothing major, but issues the team is taking precautionary measures with.
Catcher John Baker took an MRI on Friday, and he has a muscle strain in his right forearm. He has been shut down from throwing for three days. Reliever Derrick Turnbow has a sore right shoulder, and outfielder Cody Ross has a sore right thumb.
Ross was jammed while taking swings in live batting practice. He should be ready in a couple of days. Turnbow also shouldn’t miss more than another couple of games.
