Marlins add Ayala
Veteran reliever Luis Ayala was added to the Marlins on Sunday.
The Marlins selected Ayala’s contract from Triple-A New Orleans, filling the roster spot vacated when lefty Sean West was optioned to Double-A Jacksonville.
The Marlins recently signed Ayala to a Minor League contract.
The Marlins won’t need a fifth starter until Monday, July 20, when they are at San Diego.
