Ross back in lineup
Early in his teenage years, Cody Ross dealt with severe migraine headaches.
For the most part, he thought he had shaken them off. But one struck him in the middle of Thursday’s game, and the Marlins center fielder had to leave the game.
“I could have played through a headache,” Ross said.
But when the pain became sharp, and his vision became impaired he knew he had to leave the game. Ross said he was seeing lines and things were getting blurry.
A night of sleep helped cure him.
On Friday, Ross was back in the starting lineup, starting in center field.
Ross said he experienced a migraine about a year ago. Friday was the first time one caused him to come out of a game.
The Marlins bench was shorthanded on Thursday as the team had 11 position players. Emilio Bonifacio switched from third base to center field.
