Sanchez throws off mound
Anibal Sanchez is making strides in his recovery from a sprained right shoulder.
On Sunday morning, Sanchez threw off the mound for the first time since he went on the disabled list on May 8.
The throwing session wasn’t very long, and Sanchez actually didn’t throw at 60-feet, 6-inches. Instead he threw off the mound, to get the feel of pitching off the mound, but he catcher wasn’t the regulation distance away.
The session went well, and Sanchez may throw off the mound again on Tuesday.
