Lineup familiarity
We’re seeing some more similarities in the lineup.
Once again, Emilio Bonifacio was leading off and starting at third base on Friday against the Orioles. With John Baker getting the day off, Cameron Maybin was hitting second. Baker projects to bat second otherwise, and Maybin or Bonifacio are expected to lead off this season.
The rest of the lineup had Hanley Ramirez hitting third, Jorge Cantu (DH) at cleanup, followed by Dan Uggla, Jeremy Hermida, Cody Ross, Wes Helms (1B) and Mike Rabelo (C).

Joe I read your earlier column on Benafacio impressing and I just saw a minute spot that “baseball tonight” did when Peter Gammons said that Andy Fox hinted that Emilio will start Opening Day at third. I really like that decision but i want to know if you think Peter is correct in his assumption that he will start Opening Day and be an everyday third baseman for the Fish.
On my blog item on Wednesday night, I noted that he was in line to be the starting third baseman. So I guess I do agree with Peter.
This ofcourse moving Cantu to First
