Remember the name: Scott Cousins.
The Marlins outfield prospect is a left-handed thrower and hitter. In the system, his throwing arm is considered to be on par with Brett Carroll as the strongest in the organzation.
Cousins showed off his arm in the first inning on Thursday against the Orioles. With the bases full and one out, Lou Montanez lifted a fly ball to right field. Getting in good throwing position, Cousins made the catch and then uncorked a seed to home plate. His one-hop throw was handled by catcher Brad Davis, who applied an easy tag on Luke Scott, who was out by a wide margin trying to tag from third.
Cousins showed some speed in the second inning, stealing second base.
